A manuscript evaluation is a great place to start to get initial feedback on your manuscript and determine your next step. I will reach out to you with my detailed assessment of potential highlights and concerns. This service can be utilized at any stage of the manuscript.

This is the most collaborative stage of the editing process and my personal specialty. I offer an overall assessment of the manuscript, as well as breakdowns for each chapter. This edit tracks plot, character development, structure, and overall flow. Notes will also be shown as in-line comments throughout the manuscript. This process ensures that the manuscript aligns with your vision while engaging your target audience.
Rates for developmental editing depend on the state of the manuscript and are between $0.015 and $0.02 per word.

A line edit focuses primarily on the clarity and flow of your manuscript. This includes adjusting awkward phrasing and improving word choice while maintaining your unique voice. I also assess the pacing, making sure that the manuscript is engaging and impactful. Edits will be shown as in-line comments.
My rates for line editing depends on the state of the manuscript and are between $0.015 and $0.02 per word.

In this phase, I meticulously comb through the details of your manuscript to ensure consistency and quality. This process involves checking the general story structure for anything unclear as well as smaller inconsistencies in spelling or character descriptions. While grammar will be checked it is not the focus of this style of editing. Most edits will be shown as in-line comments. Additionally, a summation of the edits will be sent over along with a general guide of the characters, plot, worldbuilding, etc.
Rates for copy editing depend on the state of the manuscript and are between $0.012 and $0.02 per word.

A proofread is the final edit of the manuscript. This is meant to catch any inconsistencies or grammatical errors. This step ensures a polished finished product that’s ready for publication. Depending on preference, your edits can be received as in-line suggestions or as a finished PDF.
Rates for proofreading depend on the state of the manuscript and fall between $0.008 and $0.01 per word.
